Drug & Alcohol Testing
St. Nicholas Hospital understands the importance of drug and alcohol testing and the need for accurate results-both for the employer and tested employee. We offer a full-service drug and alcohol testing program including mandated and non-mandated testing and follow stringent controls and quality standards.
Health Risk Appraisals
St. Nicholas Hospitals Corporate Wellness Services offers employees a Health Risk Appraisal (HRA) that typically is the first step of an overall wellness program. The purpose of an HRA is to help your employees identify their health risks and learn lifestyle behaviors they can apply to improve their risks and quality of life. The HRA data also gathers a companys current employee risk status.
Injury Management
The Occupational Health Work Injury Clinic offers care for initial work injuries from 0730-16:30 Monday-Friday. James Kuplic, MD and our nurse practitioners provide initial assessment and treatment for a wide variety of work related injuries and illnesses. Unless referred to a specialist, the Occupational Health Department provides all follow-up appointments in a timely and cost effective manner.
In-Clinic Medical Monitoring
Medical monitoring is an important part of employee health. Our medical monitoring program provides pre-placement and DOT physicals as well as testing and screening for hearing, general health, respiratory protection, lead, and tuberculosis. See link for more details.
Industrial Rehabilitation
A variety of industrial rehabilitation programs are available through our Workplace Health Program. We designed these programs to prevent injury and/or facilitate an employee's return from injury. These services can occur at the hospital or at the work site. Specialized services include Ergonomic Job Analysis and Work site Evaluations, Post-Offer/Pre-Work Screening, Prevention and Education, On-Site Intervention and Therapy, Early Intervention, Functional Capacity Evaluation and Work Rehabilitation.
Wellness & Health Education Services
Helping individuals maintain good health is of the utmost importance to our Workplace Health Program team. With that in mind, we offer a variety of wellness and health education programs to help individuals learn more about and take control of their health. Our programs and screenings are available at the hospital, Plymouth Medical Plaza, and can be provided on-site.
