If you are thinking about breastfeeding, the time to prepare is before birth. We have the course, taught be a certified lactation consultant, which will help you prepare for breastfeeding. You will learn the basic skills to enhance the breastfeeding experience. You can learn what you need to know in a single evening. Couples are encouraged to attend. Car Seat Safety Check
Statistics show most child car safety seats are improperly installed. You can be sure yours isn't one of them by having certified car seat safety technicians check and properly install your child safety seat. Children should be present for the fitting. Car Seat Safety Checks are available at St. Nicholas Hospital, weekdays from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Call 920-459-4628 for an appointment at St. Nicholas. Call numbers provided for other locations.

Childbirth Readiness
Get ready for your Labor and Delivery journey! This two-week class is recommended for expecting parents in the seventh and eighth months of pregnancy. This extensive class will help expecting parents achieve a sense of satisfaction with their childbirth experience. Fathers and/or coaches will learn how they can assist expectant mothers during labor and delivery. Postpartum/Baby Care is highly encouraged to take in conjunction with your Childbirth Readiness series. Postpartum/Baby Care classes run concurrently with each Childbirth Readiness class. Fee is $25. Registration includes participant and coach. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and to bring a pillow.

Daddy Boot Camp
Boot Camp enables dads-to-be to "step up" to the tremendous challenge of becoming a dad and feel confident bringing the new baby home. This men only class is a three-hour workshop covering not only the needs of your baby and fatherhood, but it also discusses the changes the new mom might be experiencing..

Hello Brother, Hello Sister...
No doubt about it – a child brings changes to every family. Family Resource Center staff will walk parents and children (2 and older) through some of the changes with age appropriate activities that build confidence and anticipation for the big event while helping to prepare them for upcoming changes to respond to both positive and negative behaviors of all children in the family. Infant/Child Safety & CPR
Learn how to make your home safe for infants and young children and the lifesaving technique of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. This is a "participation" class only. If a completion card is required, please refer to the Heartsaver CPR Class.

Multisport and Extreme Helmets
80% of bicycle-related head injuries can be prevented with properly fitted bicycle helmets. Multisport helmets provide extra protection for scooter and rollerblade enthusiasts, too. Sizes for toddlers through adults. Extreme helmets provide sport-specific protection needed for skateboarding. All helmets are properly fitted to the wearer. Fee: $12.

Natural Family Planning
Natural Family Planning (NFP) is an effective, church-approved method of planning pregnancy through observing and interpreting fertility signs. Programs are sponsored by the Couple to Couple League. Fee: $75 (scholarship funding is available).

A veterinarian offers tips to help smooth the getting-acquainted process between your newborn and your pet. Fee: $10/family..

Postpartum/Baby Care
Prospective parents learn what to expect during the postpartum period. A physician and/or registered nurse will lead discussions on concerns for new mothers as well as concerns parents may have regarding their newborn.
