OsteoporosisOsteoporosis Heel Bone Density Screening Over 28 million Americans, mostly women, are at risk for developing osteoporosis, a gradual thinning and weakening of the bones which can lead to bone fractures. Osteoporosis has no symptoms, it is a silent disease. Bone loss can be detected through bone density testing, and, if caught early, can be stopped or reduced through medical intervention. This screening is appropriate for women over age 45, younger women who have passed menopause, men age 65 and over, and those with a family history of osteoporosis. Fee includes screening, immediate results and individual counseling. Appointments are required. |
